- Don't worry about the delete option not changing the size of the file - this is the
- only practical way to deal with realtime disk insert/delete management on such large
- files, otherwise you would be waiting a week between each keystroke. The idea (like
- ID's own stuff) is to invalidate a directory entry, and reuse it without removing
- the original file from the WAD. New stuff just gets tacked on the end for speed.
- When the WAD is complete, or near completion, you run it through an optimiser to
- chuck away duplicates and void data. Dave has not done this bit yet.

- I can assure you the alternative is painful, unless we load the lot to RAM first,
- and that has it's own set problems (like free RAM, and virtual disk mapping).
